Fireplace Accessories is devoted entirely to the forged metalwork found in and around the domestic hearth.
The short introductory chapter gives some background and historical information. The rest of this book is a photo gallery of fire screens and doors, fireplace tool sets, andirons, grates and baskets, surrounds, stoves and ovens. The book finishes with a chapter devoted to close-up photos of the small details contained within the work.
There are over 400 images from works by Artist Blacksmiths, from Renaissance to Post-Modern, but mainly the work of contemporary makers.
This is the only book that I am aware of, devoted entirely to fireplaces.
