Decorative and Sculptural Ironwork was originally published in 1977. This is the revised and updated version, published in 1998.
As the sub-title suggests, this book attempts to cover all aspects of forged metalwork and as such shows the myriad of items and forms that can be created with heat and hammer, along with instructions and photographs of finished work, work in progress and the steps for some of the forging techniques.
It shows an amazing amount of different forged forms, from gates and railings to small domestic items, from Damascus blades to sculptural pieces.
The original sections are in black and white. The new revised sections are in colour.
