Guy Portelli is a working sculptor, who became aware of the difficulties of displaying and the logistics of moving large pieces of sculpture and also the limited number of galleries commited to displaying these works, for the said reasons. The aim of this book project has been to correlate and research the sculpture market, which could possibly facilitate the sourcing and purchasing of original artworks of quality for corporations and private collections.

This an overview of the trends and influences of the last hundred years, starting with The St Ive's Group of Artists and Henry Moore. This book is packed with photographs. Where possible the author has encouraged the artists to actively participate in selecting the images and to supply the text.

Although the works illustrated are not made by artist blacksmiths, it is a field which many are now entering, with some success.
